Before you adopt

Prior to submitting your adoption application, we ask that you read and fully understand the terms of our adoption contract. In order to assure that the Saint Bernard you are interested in adopting is best suited to your lifestyle, and that it will be placed in a loving environment that is compatible with its needs, you will need to complete an adoption application.

About the process

Once we receive the application, the process begins. If you are interested in adopting a particular dog, please make sure to note that in the appropriate place on the application. Please keep in mind that the dog you are interested in may not be compatible with you or available for adoption. We will try and find the best dog to suit your needs and lifestyle. We will check both personal and veterinary references, and we will also perform a home visit. The average time from start to finish may take up to 3 weeks as we are an all volunteer group. We strive to place our Saints quickly, but we refuse to do so carelessly so all applications will be thoroughly reviewed.

Adoption Fee

Our adoption fee is $350. This fee covers the necessary veterinary costs to ready the Saint for adoption and the cost to feed and house the Saints while in rescue. They are sterilized, fully vaccinated, heartworm and parasite free, and micro-chipped for identification.
